Weczeria has long been a dream for Chef Daniel Walker. Born in Selkirk, Manitoba, Daniel's family moved across northern Saskatchewan to La Ronge. After a stint in the concrete business in Saskatoon, Daniel answered his calling to cook, taking him to Vancouver's Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. Following school, Daniel worked at restaurants in Vancouver, Whistler and along the West Coast, notably The Hermitage, The Moustache Café and lastly, The Delta Vancouver Suites, where he apprenticed under Chef Ray Henry. From Chef Henry (currently of Vancouver's Diva at the Met) Daniel developed an important appreciation for local ingredients and producers. After six years on the coast, he felt the urge to return home.

Nicole grew up in Yorkton before moving to Saskatoon with her family. While attending the University of Saskatchewan, Nicole found the service industry, where she met Daniel while working in the same hotel. Nicole's experience at the best hotels in the city and her success in supervisory positions gives her an eye for detail and a disposition for superb service. After three years of marriage, when timing and location were perfect, Daniel and Nicole set in motion the launch of Weczeria in Saskatoon.
